Assembly summaryMaize sequences generated from methylation filtered and high Cot genomic DNA clones were first repeat-masked with a filtering module from the Paracel Transcript Assembler package (Paracel Inc.) using the Maize Repeat Database and the TIGR cereal repeat databases as references. The repeat-masked sequences were clustered by sequence similarity or clone links to produce 'clustered' and 'singleton' sequences. Following assembly of the clustered sequences [2], a consensus sequence was determined for each assembly, called an 'AZM' (Assembled Zea mays) sequence. Those 'clustered' sequences failing to form an AZM were added to the 'singletons'.Click here for an overview of the assembly process. Click below for a detailed summary of assembly statistics.
Key:
*Release4.0UF - Unfiltered (UF) sequences were generated from a non-filtered library (provided by Orion Genomics) and represent a set of random shotgun sequences from the maize genome.
